Over August 22-24, Hughenden will host the Arid Lands Festival and Expo. This will feature an endurance camel race, a photographic competition and many concerts.
A summit will also take place bringing together experts, policy makers, land managers, farmers, environmentalists and government agencies from across the globe to share their knowledge on the latest developments in control and management of natural resources in arid zones.
Tropical Energy Solutions has been asked to present information and case studies on renewable energy systems at the summit.
We are also in discussion with the organisers who aim to build an Arid Lands Environmental Park, showcasing best practice building techniques to minimise energy and water use in arid homes and businesses. We have been asked to provide the technical consultation for the energy scope of this project and to supply an off-grid solar power system.

On 23 May, we officially opened our new offices at Number 4 The Strand, Townsville.
Guests were treated with many sensory delights including a photographic art show courtesy of Kathleen Swalling and David Wachenfeld, easy rock from our live music man Nathan, fine wine, Champagne and yummy food. Our great thanks to all who attended and celebrated this important step for us. For those who did not make it, we look forward to welcoming you in, next time you are in the area.

We are privileged to now occupy a building in a prime location with the wonderful people from the Townsville Port Authority as our Landlord.
The building is an excellent example of appropriate design for a tropical location. It is well ventilated from gentle sea breezes and ample natural light brightens the inside. Being true to what we teach, we should never have need to use our air-conditioners (except for a few pesky days in the wet season). If it is so dark outside, that we think about turning the lights on...it is probably time to go home!
Please stop in a catch up. We look forward to seeing you.
Our new contact details are here.
